Malone's Jaguar XK-120 and eluding the police by, among
other things, entering a road race. |

starred the Costin
bodied Lister WTM 446 ( before it had the coupe roof
fitted for Le Mans ). The Lister was the starring roles
car, he was called Launder in car #501. Also in the film
was the third Tojeiro-Jaguar which they disguised as a
Maserati with Trident badge in the nose opening, this was
car #505. A D-type was also used but I cannot make out the
race number because only a small bit of the car can be
seen. The film was about the Mille Miglia filmed in the
Welsh Mountains in the 1960's.
The Lister was badly damaged crashing into a stone wall |

XJS |
This early prototype 1975
four-speed manual, V12 XJS ( although not registered
until 1977 with plate ending in 'R' ) was driven by Ian
Ogilvy in 20 out of the 24 episodes filmed. Replaced by
a second White XJS for the last four episodes after
Ogilvy, burned the clutch out doing one of those famous
get away starts on gravel !!. The original car was
registered PWK 530R but had false 'ST 1' plates fitted,
the car still survives today being one of the rare
manual versions which only 352 were built.
